Frequently Asked Questions
What if my child is late for school?
Will I be able to have school parties or lunch with my child at school?
Unfortunately, to limit the number of individuals in school buildings and classrooms, we are not allowing parent volunteers and are planning to restructure classroom celebrations and holiday parties. Additionally, visitors will not be allowed to eat lunch with students.
Will the district offer child care options for families in the event of a hybrid model or full e-learning implementation?
The district is exploring child care options for families that may need this service in the event the hybrid model or full e-learning option is implemented. The district will be communicating with our families once final details are established.
Will there be new arrival and departure procedures for my child’s school?
Please be patient with district employees as they work to implement new protocols. Arrival and dismissal procedures may initially take more time than in previous years. Building principals will be working on communicating any changes with arrival and dismissal to their school communities. Your understanding is appreciated.
How will recess be different?
Schools will develop recess schedules that limit the number of students on the playground or within a specific area of the playground. This may look different at each school due to the amount of playground space at each site. There will be some restrictions on the types of activities made available to students, however, safe play and socializing will be encouraged.
